제주 Jeju Excursion: Seongeup Folk Village (성읍민속마을)

I have a weird love for this photo, it's one my favourites that I've taken. I don't even know why. I must admit I have a bit of writer's (or blogger's) block, but I've decided the only way to get through it is to just write and not over-think it. ^^ Anyway, I happened to be flipping through a journal I keep (off-and-on) and one of the pages was written while I was in Jeju, and I remembered I had been posting the photos here. Today's photo-post is of Seongeup Folk Village (성읍민속마을), which was a bit...disappointing, to be honest. However, some pretty photos came out of our stop there! Dolhareubang (돌하르방) are famous on Jeju! Little piggy! He (she?) was really sweet. These guys are also famous...especially when cooked... At this point I'd wandered off on my own to see if I could find anything more interesting. Mostly I found myself thinking that this place was weirdly empty. I've been making quite a few changes to this b...

제주 Jeju Excursion: Seopjikoji (섭지코지)

Image
It’s hard to believe over a month has passed since the last time I posted the last one on our Jeju excursion, which was to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (성산 일출봉).  The second stop on day two was to Seopjikoji (섭지코지). This was one of my favourite spots of the ones we went to in Jeju; it’s very pretty there. Also I was told this was one the filming locations for the drama “Winter Sonata” (I actually haven’t watched it; it seemed a bit too dramatic for my taste…).

제주 Jeju Excursion: Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (성산 일출봉)

Welcome to part two of the photos from Jeju! For the second day of our trip we had a full schedule. We started at Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (성산 일출봉), which is the location of the photos for this post!  Both my friend and I ended up quite sick by the time we got here, so we didn’t make it up the mountain of stairs to the top. Even if you don’t make it up there, it’s still a gorgeous spot. (I imagine more so on a sunny day!)

제주 Jeju Excursion: Sunset at Dragon Head Rock & Yongyeon Pond

ISA’s fourth and final out-of-Seoul excursion was to the beautiful 제주 Jeju Island for two nights and (almost) three days. Ours was the first weekend of June, meaning the weather was promised to be pretty good. And it was, for two out of three. On the third day it poured.  The first night we arrived just in time to enjoy to beautiful sunset over the ocean. With only dinner and two stops on the itinerary, it was a great chance to relax and just enjoy the gorgeous sunset.

Blogging everday in November & a photo from Jeju Glass Castle

This is the first time I’ve challenged myself in this way, but I figured it could be fun. Several of my friends are joining NaNoWriMo and I felt inspired to join them. However, fiction isn’t my forte. I love to read novels, but writing them – not so much. Instead, I’m going blog everyday this month and see how it goes.  Since I feel this a cheat post as it is, here’s a photo from the mirror room at Jeju Glass Castle. It’s sort of a preview, since I’m going to put the first of the Jeju photo posts up next week.  Isn’t my poncho the most stylish you’ve ever seen? It was absolutely pouring that morning, so we bought these from a local convenience store. Mine was pink.  Well, I’m off to do more schoolwork. School’s been doing well in keeping me busy these past couple weeks.
